Puebla also called the city of angels. Puebla the city is the capital of the state Puebla. It is the fourth largest city in Mexico. It has a population of around 1.5 million people and was founded in 1531.
Puebla is located in the Valley of Puebla also known as the Valley of Cuetlaxcoaoan. This valley is surrounded on four sides by mountains and volcanoes. Puebla is located in a subtropical highland climate. It rarely ever gets truly hot in Puebla. On average only three days a year are above 84°F. The dry season is from November to April and the rainy season is from May to October.
The most important holiday celebrated in Puebla is Cinco de Mayo, which celebrates the Mexican victory over the invading French.
Puebla has two professional soccer teams Puebla F.C. and Lobos de la BUAP. They also have one professional baseball team the Pericos de Puebla.
Some cultural attractions in Puebla are the Cathedral, Biblioteca Palafoxiana, Museo de la Revolución, Fort Loreto and Fort Guadalupe, Museo de Arte, Fountain of the China Poblana and Church of Santo Domingo.
